Welcome!
Thank you
for visiting
www.chelseagarden.org.
We are inviting private individuals and businesses
to help raise the funds to complete the second phase
of a project to recreate a courtyard garden, at the
Sue Ryder Care Centre at The Old Palace, Ely. The
original garden, “As Time Slips By”
was designed by Jo Montague-Fuller, from Harston
near Cambridge, and was awarded a medal at the RHS
Chelsea Flower Show in May 2003.
The first phase
was completed in September 2005 when the Mayor of
Ely officially opened the Courtyard Garden and
launched the second phase which is to create a
wheelchair friendly path to enable the Old Palace’s
residents to enjoy year around access to this very
special place.
We are looking
for sponsors/volunteers to provide materials and
construction services to complete the path (these
items are listed below) and will welcome any offers.
However, we also need to raise some cash! To help
achieve this we have created an opportunity for both
individuals and businesses to sponsor a paving stone
at £20 (20 pounds) a stone. If a block of
four stones are reserved by one sponsor (£80
total) we will use the space to upload a
business’ or organisation’s logo which
will also provide a hyperlink to your chosen
website, to see how this works click on
the Association of Young People with M.E's logo
in
the path to the left which is a link to our web designer’s
chosen charities website. Our existing sponsors have
already guaranteed that “www.chelseagarden.org”
will be maintained for at least five years to
ensure all our sponsors and supporters receive the
recognition that they deserve.
If you
prefer a more active challenge to support our
project, then why not think about taking part in
Great Ely Walk on 3rd September 2006 (www.great-ely-walk.org).
To sponsor a
stone or a reserve a block of four together
with your logo and website hyperlink or to offer any
other form of help including taking part in the
Great Ely Walk please e-mail me on
Stonesponsor@aol.com
Thanks so much
for your interest and support.
